On March 26, at the “2026 Third Nanhu Conference” held in Tangshan, the Hebei Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology released the first list of “Hebei Green Steel,” and Aosen Special Steel’s hot-rolled wire rod products were successfully included on this authoritative roster thanks to their outstanding green manufacturing performance.
“Hebei Green Steel” is a brand-evaluation initiative spearheaded by the Hebei Provincial Alliance for the Green Transformation of the Iron and Steel Industry under the guidance of the Hebei Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology. At its core, the initiative conducts a comprehensive assessment of iron and steel products across five key dimensions—resources, energy, environment, quality, and low carbon—based on relevant green and low-carbon standards. The goal is to identify high-quality, green, and low-carbon steel products, build the “Hebei Green Steel” brand, thereby advancing the green transformation of Hebei’s iron and steel industry, cultivating new competitive advantages in the sector, and supporting the national “dual carbon” strategy.
Prior to participating in the selection process, Ausent Steel’s hot-rolled wire rod products had already successfully passed the rigorous review conducted by the Metallurgical Industry Information and Standards Research Institute in accordance with national standards, earning the “Green and Low-Carbon Product Certification” and thereby opening the “green gateway” to high-end markets for the company’s products.
Being simultaneously listed on the “Hebei Green Steel” roster not only serves as an authoritative endorsement of the company’s steadfast commitment to its green and low-carbon strategy during the 14th Five-Year Plan period—characterized by continuous technological upgrades and comprehensive, end-to-end environmental protection improvements—but also secures a solid “green pass” for further enhancing brand competitiveness and expanding into high-end domestic and international markets during the 15th Five-Year Plan period, thereby injecting substantial momentum for the company’s development.
In accordance with relevant policies of Hebei Province, certified products are eligible for incentives such as green finance support and priority in government procurement projects. This provides robust policy backing for Aosen Special Steel to comply with international regulations, including the EU Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism, and to effectively translate its long-term environmental investments into competitive market advantages and brand value.
