On September 26, the finals of the 8th "Bloom Cup" 5G+ Energy & Nonferrous Metals Special Competition, hosted by the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology and organized by the 5G Application Industry Alliance, concluded successfully. The project titled "5G Empowers Ausent Steel's Smart Manufacturing," jointly submitted by Ausent Steel and Hebei Mobile, stood out among 2,900 nationwide entries after rigorous rounds of competition. Thanks to its deep integration of 5G technology with industrial applications and innovative implementation strategies, the project not only clinched the first prize in the special competition but also earned a spot in the national finals.
This year's event is themed "5G Leads the Way to New Horizons, Energizing Digital Intelligence for a Fresh Chapter," making it a prestigious competition in China's 5G application sector. The contest focuses on the digital and intelligent transformation needs of the energy and non-ferrous metals industries, aiming to identify and promote benchmark cases that exemplify the deep integration of 5G technology with industrial processes. Among the entries, the joint project by Aosen Special Steel and Hebei Mobile stood out remarkably for its forward-thinking approach, tangible practical results, and significant potential for industry-wide adoption—earning high praise from the judging panel of experts.
The project successfully established a 5G private network system that covers every stage of Ausent Steel's production process, achieving deep integration between 5G technology and the industrial internet. On September 15, Zheng Jianhui, Chairman and Party Secretary of China Metallurgical Southern Engineering & Technology Co., Ltd., led a delegation to visit and exchange ideas with Aosen Special Steel.
