On May 21, Huang Yongjian, Deputy General Manager of Hebei Iron and Steel Group and Party Secretary & Chairman of Shagang Company, led a delegation to Austen Steel for an exchange visit. During the meeting, they engaged in an in-depth discussion with Austen Steel leaders, including Chairman Cao Yuebin and General Manager Wang Zhe, focusing on strategic topics such as industrial synergy development and exploring ways to further strengthen collaboration.
At the symposium, Cao Yuebin systematically introduced Ausent Steel's innovative practices in environmental protection and governance, highlighting key achievements such as comprehensive carbon emission control across the entire process and cutting-edge energy efficiency management initiatives aimed at sustainable development. He also provided a detailed explanation of the construction and operation of their photovoltaic power generation systems, energy storage equipment clusters, and intelligent management platforms. Cao emphasized that Ausent Steel has effectively strengthened its market competitiveness by continuously enhancing core capabilities, including R&D of high-end special steel materials and innovation in wire rope products. He expressed his anticipation to deepen technical exchanges with Shagang Company, paving the way for strategic cooperation to advance into even more advanced levels.
Huang Yongjian highly praised Ausent Steel's remarkable achievements in green development, particularly commending the groundbreaking progress made in areas such as integrated applications of photovoltaic new energy and lean smelting management. The technical teams from both sides also held constructive discussions on specific topics such as optimizing the wire and bar production system and enhancing equipment efficiency. They unanimously agreed to deepen collaboration in areas like joint technological research and development, as well as advancing green, intelligent manufacturing upgrades, working together to explore new models for high-quality growth in the special steel industry.
Before the meeting, Huang Yongjian and his delegation conducted on-site inspections of the ironmaking plant, steelmaking plant, special rolling mill, and the integrated control center, gaining a detailed understanding of the company’s achievements in areas such as upgrading industrial equipment, realizing smart manufacturing benefits, and driving product innovation.
