On December 20, the Research Center for Economic Development of the Metallurgical Industry and Shanghai SteelLink, in collaboration with leading domestic institutions and experts, officially released the results of the 2024-2025 evaluation for the “China Iron and Steel Enterprise High-Quality Development Index (EDIS).” Thanks to its consistently outstanding performance in the field of high-quality development, Aosen Special Steel has once again made the list and been successfully awarded an AAA-rated enterprise.

Since its launch in 2022, the “China Iron and Steel Enterprise High-Quality Development Index (EDIS)” has been published continuously for four years. The 2025 edition of the High-Quality Development Index builds upon the indicator system framework of the 2024 edition, adopting a comprehensive approach that encompasses four key dimensions: core quality, supporting capabilities, control over the industrial chain, and competitiveness within the ecosystem. This framework comprises eight secondary indicators—covering development quality, technological innovation, green and low-carbon practices, digitalization and intelligence, development security, supply quality, regional environment, and social responsibility—and includes a total of 32 tertiary indicators. Based on this system, a panoramic scan, quantitative assessment, and scientific ranking of the high-quality development levels of China’s key steel enterprises have been conducted. Moreover, the scope of this year’s evaluation has been further expanded to include 121 key steel enterprises—three more than last year—whose combined steel production accounts for over 80% of the nation’s total output.
