On November 27, the kickoff meeting for the Aosen Special Steel Digital Factory System Project was held successfully, marking a crucial step in the company’s digital transformation. Attending the meeting were Li Sheng, Deputy General Manager of China Metallurgical Beijing Jingcheng Digital Technology Co., Ltd.; Zhu Zhibin, Assistant to the General Manager; and Liu Saiguang, Director of the Digital Innovation Department at Aosen Special Steel, among other leaders.
This project innovatively integrates digital twin technology to build a digital management and control system covering four dimensions: company-level, production-line-level, equipment-level, and product-level. It is the first to establish a digital twin factory in the steelmaking and special rolling workshops, making it a benchmark project for Aosen Special Steel’s digital transformation. Upon completion, the project will effectively break down data silos among various information systems, comprehensively enhance the digitalization level of processes such as production scheduling, quality control, energy management, and equipment maintenance, enable full-lifecycle data traceability, and drive the enterprise’s shift from “experience-driven” to “data-driven,” thereby injecting new momentum into the high-quality development of the steel industry.
Going forward, as we enter a new stage of high-quality development during the 15th Five-Year Plan period, Aosen Steel will focus on deepening the construction of its intelligent manufacturing system and driving digital and intelligent upgrades across the entire production and operational process. Relying on this platform, we will consistently focus on our three core goals—“Premium Aosen, Green Aosen, and Smart Aosen”—to foster knowledge sharing and technological outreach. We will continue to advance the construction of smart factories, achieving end-to-end digital and intelligent transformation—from R&D and marketing through manufacturing to customer service—and providing customers with cutting-edge digital products and solutions.
Zhang Xin, Project Manager of China Metallurgical Beijing Jingcheng Digital Technology Co., Ltd., and his project team, along with Guo Jian, Director of the Aosen Special Steel Plant’s Steelmaking Plant; Li Hang, Head of the Digital Innovation Department; Zhang Zhonglei, Head of the Equipment Management Department; Zhang Quanshun, Head of the Quality Department; and Zhao Zhipu, Deputy Head of the Production Management Department, attended the meeting.
