Aosen employees actively participate in voluntary blood donation.
On August 16, 2013, our company organized a voluntary blood donation event. Around 9:00 a.m., two blood donation vehicles from the Provincial Blood Center arrived at our company’s event site. Employees eager to donate blood were guided by staff from the company’s General Administration Department, smoothly proceeding with tasks such as filling out forms, undergoing medical check-ups, blood testing, and finally, blood collection. From what we observed on-site, many employees have been participating in voluntary blood drives for several years running. Meanwhile, some employees had signed up but unfortunately missed this particular event due to being on duty at their posts. By the end of the event, a total of 154 employees had donated blood, contributing a combined volume of 53,200 milliliters.

On the 13th, China's Vice Minister of Environmental Protection, Zhai Qing, stated that China's total pollutant emissions currently exceed the country's environmental capacity. According to expert estimates, only by reducing emissions by an additional 30% to 50% beyond current levels could China see significant improvements in its environmental quality. Zhai Qing revealed this information at a State Council policy briefing held on the same day. He acknowledged that despite achieving reductions of just a few percentage points in total emissions since the start of the 11th Five-Year Plan, these modest gains have failed to drive comprehensive improvements in environmental quality. In addition to the sheer volume of pollutants being emitted, Zhai Qing also pointed out that the limited scope of the overall emission reduction targets is another key factor hindering progress in improving environmental conditions.
