Aosen Group Holds Mid-term Review Meeting on the Preparation of High-Quality Development Plan

On the afternoon of July 2, Aosen Group held an interim progress report meeting on the "Development Plan for High-Quality Steel Production at Aosen Steel." Attending the meeting were Gao Junzhao, First-Level Inspector at the Hebei Provincial Development and Reform Commission; Wang Li, Director of the Industry Division at the Hebei Provincial Development and Reform Commission; Liu Shimin, Vice Mayor of Xinji City People's Government; Xin Yanbo, Director of the City Science and Technology Bureau; Jia Xiankui, Deputy Director of the City Development and Reform Bureau; and Liu Lixian, Deputy Director of the City Ecological Environment Bureau. The meeting was chaired by Wang Dayong, a consultant expert for Hebei Province’s 14th Five-Year Plan, advisor to the Hebei Metallurgical Industry Association, and Honorary Chairman of the Hebei Energy Conservation Association.
The meeting invited Feng Chao, Secretary and Director of the Development Research Division at the Research Center for Economic Development of the Metallurgical Industry; Shi Huieen, Head of the Development Research Division; Huang Tao, Deputy Director of the same division; Chen Yu, Director of the Low-Carbon Research Institute; and Zhao Nan, Senior Engineer from the Development Research Division, to contribute their insightful perspectives and strategic advice on how Austen Group can pursue high-quality growth, fostering smarter, more forward-thinking ideas that will drive the company toward even greater progress and sustained success.

At this briefing session, experts and scholars from the Metallurgical Industry Economic Development Research Center shared their research insights and practical experience, offering numerous constructive and insightful opinions and suggestions on the future development of Aosen Group—from various perspectives and at multiple levels.

Feng Chao, Secretary and Director of the Development Research Office
Feng Chao first introduced the scope of work at the Research Center for Economic Development in the Metallurgical Industry, highlighting the consulting services the center has provided to major steel enterprises since its establishment. He then analyzed how macroeconomic trends, the external environment, and national policies can be effectively aligned with corporate growth strategies. Finally, he presented a detailed plan for Ausen Group’s future development, taking into account relevant national policies, while also offering an update on the group’s current operational status.

Zhao Nan presented a report focusing on the group's current development status, covering areas such as product adjustments, the existing product R&D system, and the establishment of an innovation framework.

Chen Yu, Director of the Low-Carbon Research Institute
Chen Yu analyzed Ausen Steel's overall progress and phased goals in green, low-carbon development. She pointed out that, guided by the "Dual Carbon" objectives, green and low-carbon development has become the central challenge and an essential path for China's steel industry to achieve transformative growth and high-quality development—clearly charting the course forward for the sector's evolution. She emphasized that defining a clear direction, precisely positioning the company, delivering innovative achievements, and strengthening its green core competitiveness are all critical and indispensable steps for Ausen Group to fully realize high-quality development during the 14th Five-Year Plan period.

Shi Huie discussed the current macroeconomic environment, external conditions, and strategies for addressing several key bottlenecks hindering corporate growth with the leaders present.
After carefully listening to the work reports presented by experts and scholars from the Metallurgical Industry Economic Development Research Center, the attending leaders engaged in a lively exchange and outlined specific requirements for the next phase of work.

During the meeting and exchange, Hou Yuehua shared insights on the overall approach for this mid-term report meeting on "High-Quality Development Planning," focusing on guidelines for high-quality development in the steel industry, the sector's developmental advantages as well as existing challenges, and strategies for steel enterprises to achieve sustainable, high-quality growth alongside diversified industrial transformations. The discussion also centered on formulating clear high-quality development goals and outlining actionable pathways specifically tailored for Ausen Company, while making detailed arrangements for the next phase of work.
Cao Yuebin, Chairman of Aosen Group, stated that high-quality development is not achieved overnight. Aosen Group is currently at a critical juncture as it moves toward higher-quality growth. Gao Junzhao first provided a brief report on how the provincial party committee and government plan to promote high-quality development in Hebei's steel industry during the 14th Five-Year Plan period. He then expressed his support for holding this mid-term review meeting, remarking, "After all, planning is about strategic thinking—historically, we’ve emphasized 'plan thoroughly before taking action.' Looking ahead, it’s crucial to map out our long-term goals clearly first." Finally, he shared insights and engaged in discussions on what specific measures can be implemented to smoothly achieve the vision of high-quality development in the steel sector.
