On March 25, Xiao Bangguo, Secretary of the Party Committee and President of the Metallurgical Industry Planning & Research Institute, led a delegation to visit and provide guidance at Aosen Special Steel. Chairman Cao Yuebin, Vice General Manager Cui Juan, and other leaders warmly welcomed the group and attended the meeting, jointly discussing Aosen Special Steel's high-quality development plan for the 15th Five-Year Period and exploring ways to deepen cooperation between the two parties.

Mr. Xiao and his delegation first listened at the Integrated Intelligent Control Center to a presentation on Ausent Steel’s corporate development journey, key products, and its high-quality growth strategy. They then toured the ironmaking plant, steelmaking plant, and special rolling mill firsthand, gaining an in-depth understanding of the company’s current equipment, production processes, as well as its ongoing initiatives in green, low-carbon, and digital-intelligent transformation.

During the symposium, Cao Yuebin warmly welcomed Xiao Pangguo and his delegation, briefly outlining Ausent Steel's achievements under the "14th Five-Year Plan," which focuses on "high-quality products, sustainability, and smart innovation." He highlighted advancements in industrial layout, production operations, and key projects. Cao also noted that, in recent years, Ausent Steel has been relentlessly focused on enhancing its production line equipment and accelerating transformation efforts—driven by market demand. As a result, the company has steadily achieved product upgrades and breakthroughs in manufacturing processes. Looking ahead to 2025—a pivotal year bridging the current plan with future goals—he expressed his hope to further strengthen collaboration with the Metallurgical Planning Institute, building on their existing partnership. Together, they aim to move forward hand-in-hand, helping Ausent Steel solidify its foundation for high-quality growth and jointly forging a new engine for development during the "15th Five-Year Plan" period.

Xiao Changguo provided a detailed introduction to the Metallurgical Planning Institute's various business segments and industry service cases, while also expressing his appreciation for Ausent Steel's significant achievements in digital and intelligent transformation, energy conservation, consumption reduction, and sustainable green development. Drawing on current national industrial policy requirements and guidelines, he conducted a comprehensive, in-depth, and multi-faceted analysis of the challenges, opportunities, and critical development tasks our company currently faces. He emphasized that, as steel enterprises strive to maintain ultra-low emissions, ensure stable and efficient operations, and accelerate efforts toward achieving cutting-edge energy efficiency, they must also place utmost importance on participating effectively in the national carbon market. To successfully navigate this "entry into the market" challenge, companies need to act early, prepare thoroughly, and develop scientifically sound compliance strategies. This includes strengthening data quality management, elevating carbon emission management practices across the board, and systematically enhancing their competitive edge in low-carbon operations. Finally, he assured that the Metallurgical Planning Institute remains fully committed to supporting Ausent Steel in its high-quality development plan for the 15th Five-Year Period.
During the exchange, the expert team from the Metallurgical Planning Institute provided specific recommendations on various aspects—such as the "15th Five-Year" development plan, maximizing energy efficiency, comprehensive brand-building strategies, approaches to navigating carbon markets, and the development of carbon management platforms—as well as on enhancing water-use efficiency. They also shared insights into how these initiatives align with Auson Special Steel’s path toward high-quality growth, while exploring opportunities for deepening collaboration between the two parties. Additionally, the team systematically reported on the implementation progress of projects undertaken by the Metallurgical Planning Institute to support Auson Special Steel, including logistics optimization and cost-reduction and efficiency-enhancement diagnostics focused on pre-iron processes.
Also in attendance were Chen Cheng, Deputy Director of the Metal Materials Division at the Metallurgical Planning Institute; Fan Peng, Deputy Director of the General Layout and Logistics Division; Huo Dongmei, Deputy Director of the Standards and Certification Center; Chief Designer Shi Junjie; Zhang Meng, Head of the Pre-Ironmaking Sector; Wang Shaowen, Senior Engineer at the Environmental Protection Center; Zhang Lina, Senior Engineer at the Low-Carbon Center; Zhao Zhipu, Minister of Production Management at Aosen Special Steel; Liu Beng, Plant Manager of the Ironmaking Plant; and Wang Yesheng, Plant Manager of the Oxygen Generation Plant.
