The project involves upgrading and modernizing the existing blast furnace and its supporting facilities. As part of this initiative, one 610 m³ blast furnace, one 105 m² sintering machine, one 122 m² sintering machine, and three 14 m² vertical furnaces will be phased out. In their place, a new 1,580 m³ blast furnace, a 220 m² sintering machine, and a state-of-the-art pellet production line featuring a chain grate cooler rotary kiln capable of producing 2 million tons of pellets annually will be constructed, along with essential ancillary facilities. The total investment for the project is RMB 14,982.267 million. Upon completion, the facility will annually produce 1.33 million tons of pig iron, 2.2 million tons of sintered ore, and 2 million tons of pelletized ore.
